This study discusses the existence of Islamic boarding school Darul
Istiqamah against the religious culture of society in Samaturu Sub-district,
Purpose of this study is to reveal the existence of Islamic boarding school
Darul Istiqamah in District Samaturu. To describe the role of Islamic boarding
school Darul Istiqamah in shaping the religious culture of society in Samaturu
District before and after the existence of Islamic boarding school Darul Istiqamah.
The research method used in this research is qualitative research with
descriptive and semi-historical approach, the location of research place is samaturu
subdistrict, and boarding school Darul Istiqamah as institution which serve as place
of research, informant in this research is informant which is assumed can give
information which Accurate ie the leadership of Islamic boarding school Darul
Istiqamah, the ustad / coach, alumni ponpes, ponpes officials, community leaders
and religious leaders in Samaturu District.
The result of the research shows that the existence of Islamic boarding
school Darul Istiqamah in Samaturu sub-district becomes the cause of the formation
of the religious culture of society, before the existence of Islamic boarding school
Darul Istiqamah in Samaturu Subdistrict, the religious culture of society is very far
from ideal, but the existence of the pesantren with some activities and roles
performed Which includes recitation activities conducted by providing an
understanding of it is done by regular recitation. The religious culture of society is
the practice of religion, social behavior and the practice of Islamic values. After the
existence of Islamic boarding school Darul Istiqamah, the religious practices of
society, social behavior and the implementation of Shari'a and Islamic values have
been well implemented and become a separate culture for the people in the
Samaturu sub-district.
